Kaleidoscope is an annual graduate student research conference which will feature, over the course of two days, student research presentations, faculty speakers and workshops. We invite graduate students to share their research (at any stage) with the wider academic community, receive constructive feedback, and engage in discussions with other academics on educational research-related issues. We welcome both theoretical and empirical research related to education. Students may wish to present a paper or display a poster or even just attend the conference and engage with peers.

We are delighted to welcome the keynote speaker, Professor Stephen Ball from the Institute of Education, and a group of dynamic faculty members from the University of Cambridge who will share their experiences, perspectives and scholarly knowledge through an interview, panel session and various workshops.

This year’s conference theme, Turning the Kaleidoscope: Researching Education and Educating Research, aims to bring multiple perspectives to research on education and education per se, in order to more critically assess and productively reflect on theories, educational practices and policies across settings. The conference will be a forum where participants can metaphorically place a kaleidoscope on educational issues and research, while also turning it back on themselves.
