Caroline Dyer is a Reader in Education in Development in the Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Law at the University of Leeds. A linguist by training and a South Asia specialist, her key research area is education, social inclusion, marginalisation and mobilities. She is particularly interested in how the global Education For All movement responds to mobile pastoralists.
Caroline has a longstanding association with BAICE, having been its first Membership Secretary when the Association was formed in 1997 by the merger of BCIES and BATROE. Since then, she served as Vice Chair for two years from 2010, then took the position of Chair in September 2012. She has also served also as Managing co-editor of our journal Compare between 2000-2004 and is the current Executive Chair of the Compare Editorial Board.
