Dr Nozomi Sakata

Nozomi Sakata bio pic

Nozomi Sakata is a Research Fellow in the Centre for the Study of International Cooperation in Education at Hiroshima University, Japan. Her research interests lie in the field of Comparative and International Education, with a focus on pedagogy in sub-Saharan Africa, education reform in global contexts and the use of mixed methods in educational research. Nozomi holds a PhD in Education and International Development from the UCL Institute of Education, UK. Currently at Hiroshima, she leads research projects on network analysis of learner-centred pedagogy in Ghana and on locally appropriate pedagogy in Tanzania using the capability approach.
