New BAICE Research Networking Grant awarded

BAICE has awarded £5000 to a team of researchers, led by Dr Priyank Shukla from Ulster University. Their project – Comparative and Interdisciplinary Education Research Network (CIERN) – aims to bring interdisciplinary and education researchers from Northern Ireland, England, and Italy to work towards Sustainable Development Goal – 4 (SDG-4): Quality Education and build transferable skills and research capacity on this important topic.

Dr Shukla is PI, working with co-investigators Dr Una O’Connor Bones and Professor Stephen McClean from Ulster University, Dr Elizabeth Hidson from University of Sunderland, Dr Sara Ganassin from Newcastle University and Professor Patrizia Fattori from University of Bologna. The collaborative research and activities planned under this network will promote a strong interaction between early-career and experienced researchers and facilitate interdisciplinary joint efforts across geographical borders to contribute towards the globally important agenda of the SDG-4.
