Batuhan Aydagül

Batuhan Aydagül is an educational practitioner, policy analyst, and scholar whose work spans schools, NGOs, and governmental agencies across multiple geographies. Currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Batuhan previously served as the director of the Education Reform Initiative (ERI), a Turkish non-governmental think-and-do-tank in education. He continues to advise the Teacher Network in Türkiye, an ecosystem of solidarity and cooperation among educators. Batuhan's dissertation examines how flagship public universities in Türkiye negotiate their autonomy amid democratic retrogression, using comparative case studies to understand institutional responses shaped by distinct historical legacies and cultures. He holds an M.A. in International Education Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University.
