Workshop 1 – Research ethics in international and comparative education: critical engagement for improved practice

In the morning, there will be short presentations from three different perspectives (the Academy of Social Sciences, University of Nottingham and a multi-country research project) followed by critical group discussion of existing ethical guidelines and frameworks. After lunch, there will be time for further group discussion about alternative theoretical and methodological frameworks for improved ethical practice. The day will end with the identification of collaborative next steps for the thematic forum.

The workshop will begin with registration at 10.30am and close at 3.30pm. Lunch, coffee and refreshments will be provided.
