
Dorothy Ferary is a PhD student and a Teaching Fellow at the UCL Institute of Education (IoE). Her PhD research is on the impact of higher education on women’s capabilities. Her general research interests include gender and development, history of education, and youth and globalisation. She was a visiting scholar at the University of the Free State (South Africa). She was a recipient of REACH International Youth Scholarship (USA), Linnaeus-Palme Scholarship (Sweden), and LPDP Scholarship (Indonesia). Prior to her work in academia, she was a National Programme Manager for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Indonesia.
