Prof Ricardo Sabates

Ricardo Sabates bio pic

Ricardo Sabates is Professor of Education and International Development at the University of Cambridge and Fellow at Hughes Hall College, Cambridge. Ricardo is also a member of the Research for Equitable Access and Learning (REAL) Centre and the Cambridge Network for Disability and Education Research (Cander). His research focuses on educational inequalities in access and learning primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia. His work has been influential in understanding global inequality patterns in educational access, second chance opportunities in education for marginalised children, cost effectiveness and equity in education, and accountability for learning.
