BAICE Conference 2016

Achieving equity and quality in learning: Comparative perspectives

September 12th-14th 2016, University of Nottingham, UK

The BAICE 2016 Conference Committee invites proposals for papers that explore the continued problematique of how to define, identify and assess ‘quality’ learning. In the light of the Sustainable Development Goal commitment to ‘quality lifelong learning’ and much recent rhetoric about a ‘crisis in learning’, the conference will seek to promote a critical engagement with the various potential meanings of quality education and explore new methodological and theoretical approaches that can provide a basis for both developments in scholarship in comparative education and for improved policies and practices. The conference will encourage consideration of whose voices and which forms of knowledge are given precedence in debates over ‘quality’.

The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday 4th March 2016. The full Call For Papers is attached. For further information on how to submit an abstract, registration fees and conference accommodation, please see the official BAICE Conference website at the URL below. We hope to see many of you there in September.
